The fabulous and fashionable are all in town for the fashion event of the year! Chanel’s fashion show for the 2013/14 Métiers d’Art collection titled “Paris-Dallas.”
Fifty-six years ago, Coco Chanel herself travelled from Paris to Dallas with a delegation of 125 people from France. She won the Neiman Marcus Award for Distinguished Service in the Field of Fashion, known as the “Oscar of Fashion.” The only winner out of 300 fashion designers that year, it was symbolic of how important Chanel had become in America.
Karl Lagerfeld has chosen to honor that journey by bring Chanel back to our city with fashion show tonight in Fair Park. Chanel’s biggest customers are all in town for tonight’s invite-only event, such as Vogue’s Anna Wintour.
